New Teacher Introduction: Meet Miss Danielle Davis!

Immanuel Lutheran School is pleased to announce the hiring of Miss Danielle Davis to join our Upper School faculty team. Miss Davis will serve as 8th grade homeroom teacher, as well as Math and Science teacher for 6th-8th grades. Her love for our mission and community, subject expertise, and faithfulness to our confession will be a great asset to our students, families, and staff.

Fall Soccer Season in Full Swing

Our inaugural soccer season is in full swing! Both our 5/6 and 7/8 teams have played their first games, and our teams are doing an excellent job in this first year of ILS competition in the ABC league.

We have a few more games to go this season. Come on out and cheer on our ILS teams!

ILS Soccer Game

Upper School students at Immanuel study a new sport each month in Physical Education classes.  For the month of October, the Upper School students worked on their soccer skills, everything from dribbling the soccer ball, to passing, to shooting, to goal-keeping. To set a goal for our students, a game was scheduled with Alexandria Country Day School on October 29.  Needless to say, with an upcoming game against ACDS, the students’ motivation was high to push harder and learn intently in PE classes. The students knew as well as I did that they had to take advantage of every moment in PE to get ready for their opponent just a few blocks away on Russell Road.

Field Day 2015

Our mission at Immanuel Lutheran School is to nurture minds, hearts, and bodies of students. Our annual Field Day events are a perfect example of the third part of this trio, as students have been working in their P.E. classes throughout the year to prepare for the fun competitions during Field Day.
