Leadership

Fiona Brubaker, PTL President —The Brubaker family joined ILS in 2023 when their son entered Fifth Grade. They are grateful to have found a warm and nurturing environment where their Middle Schooler is receiving a traditional education with minimal use of tech, screens and digital resources in the classroom. Fiona is originally from Scotland and earned her Master's in International Relations from the University of St. Andrews. After working for over ten years in international economic development, Fiona transitioned to work for Orchard Alliance, a subsidiary of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, where she helps churches attain loans for property and construction projects. "Taking on the role of PTL President this year is one way I feel I can support and give back to the teachers, administration, and parents that make up this beautiful school community."

Mission

Parents are an important part of their child's education, and their interest and involvement are vital. As a parent of a child enrolled in Immanuel Lutheran School, you are a member of the school's Parent Teacher League (PTL).

The purpose of the PTL is to support classical Lutheran education at ILS, and to help provide opportunities for parents to engage in the life of the school and stay closely involved with their children's schooling.

Parents are strongly encouraged to become active in school activities throughout the year, such as volunteering for and attending the school's Annual Auction, the Chili Cook-off, supporting our Month of Service, participating in Constitution Day or Veterans Day, helping with Teacher Appreciation Week, and more. Watch for PTL updates in both weekly school newsletters and room parent emails for opportunities to volunteer throughout the year!
