Parents are an important part of their child's education, and their interest and involvement are vital. As a parent of a child enrolled in Immanuel Lutheran School, you are a member of the school's Parent Teacher League (PTL). A copy of the ILS PTL Bylaws can be found here.
The purpose of the PTL is to support classical Lutheran education at ILS, and to help provide opportunities for parents to engage in the life of the school and stay closely involved with their children's schooling.
Parents are strongly encouraged to become active in school activities throughout the year, such as volunteering for and attending the school's Annual Spring auction, the Back-To-School and End-of-Year Picnics, the Chili Cook-off, and supporting our Thanksgiving Day of Service, and planning receptions for our Advent and Easter services, as well as Graduation Vespers. Watch for PTL updates in both weekly school newsletters and room parent emails for opportunities to volunteer throughout the year!
One way to support the PTL is through our passive fundraisers. Twice a year we do Class BoxTop Competitions! Watch for deadlines to submit BoxTops for Education, and your child's class can win an off-uniform day, a pizza lunch or an extra recess period. Link your Giant, Harris Teeter, or Safeway cards by following these instructions.
