On the first Friday of each month, all parents are invited to join one of our Upper School faculty members as they lead a discussion. Whether you are the parent of an upper school student now, or are looking forward to future upper school years at ILS, these conversations are a great way to learn more about what our students are learning as part of a classical, Christian curriculum.
2,400 years ago, a philosopher named Socrates shaped a culture with his practices of questioning and discussion. Today, his methods continue to challenge people to think deeply and uncover hidden assumptions. Join January's coffee hour with Miss Davis to refresh you understanding of Socratic discussion, learn how our upper-school students apply it in class, and engage in our own demonstration of this ancient practice!
